Why clean your fireplace & chimney?
Safety First – Cleaning removes soot, debris, and potential blockage that can cause dangerous carbon monoxide buildup or chimney fires.
Better Efficiency – A clean chimney or gas fireplace burns more efficiently, providing better heat output and savings on energy costs.
Longer Lifespan – Routine maintenance prevents corrosion, damage, and costly repairs, helping your fireplace and chimney last for years to come.
RECOMMENDATION:
Our professionals recommend wood-burning fireplaces and chimneys be cleaned and inspected at least once a year — typically before the start of the burning season. If you burn high quantities of wood in the season, it is advisable to clean after each cord of wood.
For gas fireplaces, an annual inspection and cleaning is also advised. Even though gas burns cleaner than wood, dust, pet hair, and residue can still build up in vents, logs, and glass, affecting performance and safety.
